Description

The first single release from North of Tomorrow's third album - Clear as Can Be. Sometimes, it is just the accumulation of small things that doom a relationship, rather than one event. Death by a hundred paper cuts. The harmony vocals and arrangement by Kleber Sampaio are particularly notable.

Lyrics

Late again.
But who’s counting?
Just you, my love.
And me.

In the end.
Cupid is shouting.
Just one part of
A broken symphony…….played out of key.

Whose to blame?
Whose to know?
Whose to say?

What a shame.
You told me so.
It would end this way.
All the same.
I am late again.

The piper’s been paid.
I’ve paid all my life, dear.
The luck of the draw
Is no luck at all.

The best plans were laid.
But they swung clear.
I’m left in the dark
No number to call.

Whose to blame?
Whose to know?
Whose to say?

What a shame.
You told me so.
It would end this way.
All the same.
I’ve been late again.

Late Again
Late Again
Late Again
Late Again
Late Again
