Lyrics

Verse 1
Before I Go, I’d like to say that if I’ve hurt you in any way, I’m sorry
I’ve fallen short in many things, and with the changes my life brings, I worry, Mmmmm
Verse 2
I’ve roamed and searched to find the truth, through the ages and my troubled youth
I’ve set my mind on distant stars, spent many nights in crowded bars
Only to remain alone. Lost and far from home
Chorus 1
All I ask before I go, is keep me in your memory so
That I can live in some small way, and if that’s heaven – that’s ok
Verse 3
The ones I’ve loved and ones I’ve lost, I could not foresee the cost
But now the final bill is due and all that I can ask of you is mercy
If only I’d believed in time, this heart could bring some peace of mind
Instrumental break
Verse 3
I will hold you in my heart, in the place that ends and starts
And I will keep you in that space where love will find a state of grace
And I hope that we will meet again, and in that time I’ll have to say, I love you. I love you
Chorus 2
All I ask before I go, is keep me in your memory so
That I can live in some small way, and if that’s heaven – that’s ok
