“Blind Eyes” and “Find that Man” were performed by the New York jazz singer Joanna Teters, aka Velvet Belle, with her unique vocal timbre that recalls some great voices of the past such as those of Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington.

Aria played the two songs with Miriam Makeba’s backing band and vocalists, important musicians who, following the death of Mama Africa, have collaborated with major artists in both Africa and the USA. This group exemplifies the best sounds of jazz, African music, contaminated with soul, and funk in the style of Chic, complete with maestro Bernard Edwards’s slap and pop technique on the bass.

Mariano's piano dialogues with that of Paul Hanmer's, under the stylistic influence of Keith Jarrett. Both songs contain classical influences, including orchestral instruments such as the bass clarinet, medieval instruments, such as the piva and zampogna, which can be heard in the finale of “Blind Eyes”, along with with Ayo Solanke’s (noted gospel and jazz soloist) beautiful tenor saxophone.

Lyrics

I never thought I'd be alone in life
I was so sure that you'd be there
Good times or bad I thought that we'd pull through
I thought you knew I cared

I never wanted another love
And I just assumed that you knew
Blind are the eyes that watch love drift away
Weak are the arms that lost you

Time after time
I blocked from my mind the signs
The look in your eyes
you looked so tired
Busy with life,
busy with goals
I was completely blind
Never knew
that all I do
was losing you

So many things we want to do in life
So many mountains we would climb
Fools take the path of rich and shiny things
Wise men take loves path every time

Oh oh oh oh
You were mine
No matter what you do I'll still love you
I always will
No matter what you do I'll still love you
You're mine
